Anthony D’Alfonso (Baseball ‘07) is arguably the
most prolific player to ever wear the SMCC baseball uniform.
He is a two-time Yankee Small College Conference Player of the Year
and 2007 United States Collegiate Athletic Association
All-American. At time of his induction he toppe the SMCC
all-time leader in career hits, runs, home runs, and
RBI’s. After leaving SMCC, D’Alfonso continued
two more seasons at the University of Southern Maine where he was a
two-time NCAA Division III All-American.
D’Alfonso is the first SMCC baseball player to sign a
professional contract as he has spent the three years playing in
the Frontier league, Golden Baseball League, and the League de
Norte in Mexico.
