CONCORD, N.H.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team took both from the NHTI Lynx on Saturday, Sept. 29 on the road in doubleheader action.

Game 1: W, 7-5 | BOX

First-year Alexander Schepis (Waterboro, Maine) took the hill to contribute a scoreless four innings for the visiting SeaWolves in game one. First-years Robby Nadler (Somers, Conn.) and Cole Lawrence (Pittston, Maine) made relief appearances to combine for the final three innings.

SMCC scored all of its seven runs before the fifth inning to feature three RBIs from first-year Peter Stauber (Cumberland, Maine) and a 2-RBI triple from senior Sean Adams (Lebanon, Maine).

The Lynx pushed across four runs in the fifth inning and creeped closer adding another in the sixth. Garrett Purrington delivered the big hit for NHTI in the fifth, clearing the bases with a 3-RBI double, but it was too little too late as the SeaWolves held on to a two-run victory.

Schepis was credited the win; NHTI's Tyler Sargent suffered the loss.

Game 2: W, 15-6 | BOX

SMCC's Adams got his turn on the bump in game two to allow five earned over five innings before striking out two. It was first-year James DiBiase (South Portland, Maine) out of the pen to pitch two perfect frames to close the door.

Stauber collected five hits in six at-bats, adding a RBI, stolen base, and three runs to his stat line. First-year Jacob Poole (South Portland, Maine) also strung together a multi-hit game to include two runs and an RBI. The SMCC offense scored in every inning but one to post its third double-digit run total this Fall.

Adams earned the win; NHTI's Adam Young was due the loss.

SMCC advanced to 7-1 overall, leaving the Lynx 2-10 thus far.
