David Walsh begins his third season as Head Coach of the SeaWolves Baseball program. Walsh was hired in the fall of 2018 as an assistant and was then elevated to head coach to begin the 2019 spring season. During his tenure at the helm, Walsh has compiled a 42-16 overall record and 7-1 mark in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) play. He helped the program to its fourth consecutive conference title and received an at-large bid to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Small College World Series after an eight-year hiatus in 2019. His 2020 season was cut short due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Walsh has produced two USCAA All-Americans and his programs have led the country in on-base percentage and earned run average.

A Massachusetts native, Walsh graduated from Husson University in 2007 with a degree in Sport Management. He played and worked four seasons under long-time coach John Winkin and is a product of his philosophy. Winkin won 1,043 games at the collegiate level and was elected to the National College Baseball Hall of Fame.

Following his playing career, Walsh returned to his alma mater to be named Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Fenway High School (Boston, Mass.). There he amassed 63 wins, qualified for five MIAA State Tournaments, and collected two Coach of the Year awards in his six-year term, 2011-17.

Prior to SMCC, Walsh served as a Coach and Player Developer at Sluggers Academy (Medfield, Mass.), Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Pine Manor College (Brookline, Mass.), and Head Baseball Manager and Recruiting Coordinator for the Bancroft Bandits (Bancroft, Iowa).
