Men’s Basketball Grabs 20-Point Win Over ACPHS

ALBANY, N.Y.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team logged a 20-point victory over the Panthers of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) play Sunday, Nov. 20.

The Panthers outscored SMCC 23-22 in the first 20 minutes, but after halftime adjustments, the Seawolves were 21 points better than their counterparts in the final 20 minutes. Three topped double digit scoring for the road team led by senior captain DeSean Cromwell's (Biddeford, Maine) 12 points. Sophomore captain Thomas Martinotti (Harwinton, Conn.) tallied 11 points and four assists, and sophomore captain Jack Pyzynski (Saco, Maine) netted 10 points.

Albany's Brett Richards led all scorers with 31 points, and pulled down 12 rebounds.

The Seawolves extend their win streak to two and move to 7-2 overall, 2-1 YSCC. ACPHS dips to 1-4, and remains winless in league play at 0-4.

Next, SMCC will entertain the NCAA Div. 3 Beavers from the University of Maine at Farmington on Sunday, Nov. 27. Tip-off at The HUB is set for 2:00 p.m. WATCH
