AUGUSTA, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team placed as individuals in a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) match hosted by the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) at Augusta Country Club on Saturday, Sept. 29.
NHTI took first place in the team ranks scoring a 334, followed by UMA shooting 391 and the University of Maine at Presque Isle finishing with a 437. SMCC was disqualified with too few players.
NHTI's Trevor Moore posted the only sub-80 card at 76 to win the match. Teammate Chris Nelson placed second signing off on an 82, and UMA's Zach Alden took third, one stroke behind.
As for the Seawolves, sophomore Tyler Hensley (Reedsville, Ohio) scored his lowest round this fall shooting a 107. First-years Joseph Cawthon (Delray Beach, Fla.) and Robert Caron (Naples, Maine) finished 111 and 114 respectively.

The SeaWolves will host Bridgton Academy in another exhibition on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Purpoodock Golf Club before taking their shot at the YSCC Championship round in Portsmouth, N.H. on Saturday, Oct. 13.
