SMCC Golf Places 7th At USCAA National Championship

STATE COLLEGE, Pa.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team carded a 7th place finish at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship spanning Monday, Oct. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Penn State University.

After a 10-year hiatus without a national tournament appearance, the SeaWolves fired a 336 on the first day and a 321 on the second, combining for a total 657—52 strokes off the first-place finisher Bluefield State College. SMCC finished atop the other Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) competitor Great Bay Community College (12th place) by 31 strokes.
