Clippers Roll over Seawolves

South Portland - In this evening's heated soccer action between the SMCC Seawolves and the UMaine-Machias Clippers, the UMM goalkeepers earned their fourth consecutive shutout, defeating the Seawolves 3-0.

The Seawolves had numerous opportunities at the net, managing fifteen shot attempts during the contest but could just not connect. The Seawolves were led by forward Kyle Stiefken (Vassalboro, ME) and defender Layne Kearney-Graffam (Westbrook, ME) who each had three shots on goal.

The Clippers spread out their offense receiving a goal each from Alfredo Palacios (Corona, CA), Stefan Zalucky (Warsaw, Poland) and Olaff Alexis Mena (Brownsville, TX). Forward Franck Zeba (Lexington Park, MD) was credited for two assists on the three goals.

With this loss the Seawolves drop to 2-3-0 overall and 1-1-0 in conference play. They will return to action Saturday 21st at Unity at 3pm.
