SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's basketball team routed the Bobcats from Paul Smith's College 75-18 to sweep the season set on Timothy D. Hagerman Alumni Day, Saturday, Jan. 12.

The SeaWolves erupted for 47 points in the first half and held the opponent to a mere three, zero in the second quarter, to improve on their 46.7 points-against average (YSCC-2). Paul Smith's doubled its point total in the third and scored nine more in the fourth, but it was SMCC's on-ball defense and ability to challenge the Bobcats into low-percentage shots that earned the home team a 57-point victory.

Sophomore forward Amanda Brett (Portland, Maine) dropped 23 points on 9-14 shooting—her eighth game with 20 or more this season. Brett moved into sole possession of tenth all-time on the women's scoring list, having tallied 578 in just 42 games as a SeaWolf.

First-years Madison White (Keene, N.H.) and Zoe Bodwell (Waterford, Maine) went for a season-highs; White with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Bodwell nine points on 2-5 from three.

Paul Smith's Denise Jones led her team with seven points.
