Seawolves Fall to Clippers

South Portland In tonight's' YSCC conference matchup UMaine-Machias' Clayre Saunders (Nassau, Bahamas) scored three goals to lead the Clippers over the Lady Seawolves 5-0.

The Lady Seawolves defense kept UMM scoreless for the entirety of the first half but the Clippers set the tone early in the second when Saunders netted her first goal at the 51:58 mark. Three minutes later Abigail Woodward (Brentwood, NH) chipped in a second goal for the Clippers to put them on top 2-0. Saunders would then score two consecutive goals and the Clipper offense was capped off by a goal from Kayla Angelico (Lisbon Falls, ME) at the 80th minute.

Despite their best offensive efforts, SMCC's Ali Waterman (Apple Valley, CA), Michela Desjardins (Fort Kent, ME) and Emma Bonneville (Belfast, ME) came up short with their multiple shots on net.  

With this loss the Lady Seawolves drop to 1-2-1 overall and 1-0-0 in conference play. They will return to action Saturday 21st at Unity at 1pm.
