Lady Seawolves Drop to UMM

Machias -  After losing to the Clippers previously at home the Lady Seawolves traveled to Machias and put on a better performance but again fell short, losing 1-4. SMCC fired first with a Michela Desjardins (Fort Kent, ME) goal off a pass from midfielder Sarah Clifford (Alton, NH) to put the the Lady Seawolves up 1-0 early in the first half. This goal is the eighth of the season for Desjardins in eight contests.

The Lady Clippers responded to the SMCC score with two goals before the break putting themselves up 2-1 at halftime. Despite relentless efforts on defense by the Lady Seawolves the Lady Clippers managed two more goals in the second half closing out the game with a 4-1 triumph.

With this loss the Lady Seawolves drop to 3-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play. The Lady Seawolves will return to action on Wednesday October 2nd at New Hampshire Technical Institute at 3:45pm.
