SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team took care of the Warriors from Massasoit Community College 6-1 in a non-conference match at Wainwright Recreation Complex on Saturday, Oct. 6.

Looking for a bounce back win in their new home kits, the Lady SeaWolves struck first on a free kick by junior Jessica Haskell (Saco, Maine) who found sophomore captain Callie O'Brien (South Portland, Maine) on an early attempt in the 23rd minute. Massasoit's Samantha Baston would bury a penalty kick before the half to knot the score 1-1.

Haskell scored her 11th and 12th goals of the season less than a minute apart in the early goings of the second half before O'Brien was the recipient of another free kick attempt just 20 seconds later. The crafty sophomore looped a ball by the Warrior goalkeeper from a near impossible angle at 76:13 to put the home team up four scores. Senior captain Emily Harris (Dayton, Maine) converted on a penalty kick to score her fourth goal of the season to go along with two assists in the game.

O'Brien scored her second hat trick of the fall and set a new all-time program record tallying her 60th career point as a SeaWolf—surpassing 57 held by Hannah Fields.

First-year goalkeeper Dana Sirois (Saco, Maine) recorded eight saves in 90 minutes of action.
