CONCORD, N.H. – The Seawolves (4-3) took to the road on a Saturday afternoon to face the Lynx of NHTI (1-3), where they would play three closely fought sets and eclipse the 21-point mark twice but still fell 3-0.

NHTI opened the match with a 25-19 victory in set one before claiming the second set 25-21. SMCC kept it tight throughout, but the third set ended 25-22 in favor of the Lynx to end the match.

Sophomore Rachel Pardi (Portland, Maine) led the Lady Wolves in kills with eight, adding three assists. Sophomore Emilia Lamie (Rochester, N.H.) had an assist and eight digs as the libero. First-year Jordan Bickford (Cumberland, Maine) posted a kill, two assists and four digs. Sophomore Katie Ewings (North Yarmouth, Maine) and first-year Lillian Findlan (North Berwick, Maine) notched three kills apiece.

Coach's thoughts:

"Tough loss for us. We played hard and had a chance to win, especially the last two sets, but couldn't execute well enough to pull it off today. We've got plenty of practice time coming up to straighten things out." – Head Coach Garrett Lewellen

Seawolves Stars of the Game:

Pardi: Eight kills (.500 kill percentage), three assists
Lamie: Eight digs, one assist
Bickford, Four digs, two assists, one kill
