SMCC Sweeps Bunker Hill In Boston

BOSTON, Mass. – The Seawolves (5-3, 2-1 YSCC) traveled south for a battle with the Bulldogs of Bunker Hill Community College (0-1), winning the match in straight sets and allowing a high of just 16 points across the three sets.

SMCC claimed the first set of the night 25-16 before taking the second set 25-9 and rounding out the victory with a 25-13 win in set three. 

Sophomore Rachel Pardi (Portland, Maine) totaled eight kills for the Seawolves, adding two assists. Sophomore libero Emelia Lamie (Rochester, N.H.) had nine assists and one dig while sophomore Lillian Findlan (North Berwick, Maine) and first-year Anna White (Buxton, Maine) each had five kills. Sophomore Lauren Kiss (Lyman, Maine) put up one kill and 13 assists. First-year Jordan Bickford (Cumberland, Maine) notched two kills and five assists. First-year Carli Carman (Buxton, Maine) notched three kills and sophomore Katie Ewings (North Yarmouth, Maine) had two.

"It was a nice bounce-back match after a tough loss at NHTI. We'll have another test against Paul Smith's this weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing how we respond." – Head Coach Garrett Lewellen.
