SMCC Knocks off Mustangs 3-0

So. Portland, ME - The CMCC men's soccer team traveled to South Portland to face SMCC for the second time this year. CMCC looked strong and SMCC goalkeeper Corey Grigas came up with two early saves. With just two minutes before the half SMCC's Blais Whitney found Wadhah Al-Shammari for what would end up being the game's winning goal.   The second half saw an onslaught of opportunities for SMCC and eventually Kyle Ehlers finished a cross from Peter Dore and Whitney Blais added insurance ending the game 3-0 in favor of SMCC.

The Seawolves' defense limited Central Maine to just eight shots in ninety minutes.  Freshman keeper Corey Grigas (Hardwick, MA) recorded three saves in the shutout.

The Seawolves are alone atop the Eastern Division of the Yankee Small College Conference and look to remain unbeaten at home as they close out the regular season against Unity College on Saturday, October 15th at 2:00PM. The team is currently 10-0-1 in conference play and 10-2-1 overall.
