VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.— Sophomore co-captain Hannah Fields (Shapleigh, Maine), of the Southern Maine Community College women's soccer team, and sophomore Patrick Duddy (Sedgwick, Maine), of the men's soccer team, were selected as 2016 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Second Team All-Americans at the Fall Championship Award Banquet in Virginia Beach, Va. on Thursday Nov. 10.
Fields finished her 2016 campaign ranked fifth in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) and tied for 27th in the nation in points tallying 30 on the season. The Lady SeaWolves' center midfielder also place in the top-five in the YSCC in goals (12) and assists (6). In the final game of the regular season, Fields recorded her 57th career point to become the all-time points leader in program history. She also holds the all-time record in goals with 24 and ranks second in assists recording nine in her career.
Duddy, in his first year as a converted goal keeper, led the YSCC and ranked third in the nation in save-percentage sporting a .866. Duddy also led the conference in saves (110), goals-against average (1.26), and allowed only 17 goals in 13 games played, leading his team to the 2016 YSCC championship game.
