SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— Southern Maine Community College Athletics and its basketball programs will hold the 8th annual Timothy D. Hagerman Memorial Alumni Games inside the HUB Gymnasium on the South Portland campus Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019. These games are named in honor of Timothy Hagerman, a beloved teammate of the men’s basketball program from 2005-08. Timothy, a back-to-back conference champion, passed away of cancer in 2011.
The day will begin when the SMCC women’s basketball team plays host to Paul Smith’s College at 12 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 2 p.m. The Scarborough Dribblettes will be performing at half-time of the women’s contest. All alumni are invited to attend the games prior to the alumni festivities:
5:00 p.m.—Women’s Alumni Game
5:30 p.m.—Men’s Alumni Game
7:00 p.m.—Alumni Family and Friends Reception at Bayside Bowl (Portland, Maine)
SMCC Athletics asks alumni participants to make a $20 donation for which all proceeds are given to the Timothy D. Hagerman Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a returning men’s basketball player who puts his team before himself and is a positive member of the SMCC community.
