SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— Southern Maine Community College Athletics announced Thursday it had reached an agreement to make Adidas the official apparel provider for all seven sports at SMCC.
SeaWolves Athletics will begin using Adidas products for all its uniform, fan apparel, and special equipment needs beginning July 1. The athletics program was previously served by Russell Athletics for 10 years.
“I am very excited to have a national partner in Adidas to provide our student-athletes and our fans top-of-the-line apparel and equipment to support SeaWolves Athletics,” said Director of Athletics Matt Richards. “The service package offered by Adidas will allow great flexibility to ensure that the SeaWolves brand will be available to our supporting fans.”
Jim Murphy, Director of NCAA Sports Marketing at Adidas North America, said Adidas is committed to the SMCC Athletics program.
“Our mission is to help athletes perform better and we’ll bring our newest and most innovative high-performance products to Southern Maine Community College along with our innovation, creativity and collaborative efforts in order to help empower these athletes,” he said.
SMCC fields teams in baseball, softball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, and coed golf.
