The 2008 Men’s Basketball team is only the second team inducted into the SMCC Hall of Fame. The team finished the season with a 25-8 overall mark, which ranks the program tied for second in overall season wins. This team captured a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) championship and took home four YSCC All-Conference selections. The SeaWolves held a #1 ranking in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Coaches Poll for three consecutive weeks and earned an automatic bid to the USCAA National Tournament capped with a trip to the Final Four semi-final game—a feat only done twice in program history. SeaWolf guard Chris Banks was named a USCAA First Team All-American and was inducted into the USCAA National Hall of Fame in 2018.
