Carroll Rines was the College’s long time sports information director. For over 20 years Rines covered SMCC teams and was charged with providing statistical data and overall team records and accomplishments to the local media. The Athletic department’s Sports Person of the Year Award is named in his honor. Rines was inducted posthumously.
