South Portland, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team earned two victories this afternoon against the visiting Golden Eagles of Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC). The Seawolves won the pitching battle in game one by a score of 2-1; then heated up the bats to win game two 13-3.

The Seawolves saw solid pitching from two freshmen.  Matt Turnage (Waterboro, ME) got the win in game one tallying 11 strikeouts. Mike Vadnais (Biddeford, ME) took game two and retired 12 batters.

SMCC improves to 18-14-1 overall and remains 7-1 in conference play. The Seawolves are on the road tomorrow as they travel to Dean College for a doubleheader starting at 1:00 PM.
