SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team was defeated 7-4 by Bridgton Academy in a seven-inning exhibition on Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Senior Sean Adams (Lebanon, Maine) took the hill for the first time this fall to go 3.0 complete innings. The right-hander allowed seven hits over five runs and two walks. The SMCC staff pieced it together getting three others pitching appearances.

The SeaWolf bats tallied five hits, two by first-year shortstop Stefan Lesco (Somers, Conn.). The home team did most of its damage in the first, adding another late in the sixth. Bridgton more than doubled SMCC's hit total with 11 spread among seven runs.
