The Southern Maine Community College Seawolves fell to second-ranked College of St. Joseph Saints in overtime 87-76. The first forty minutes found the Seawolves and the Saints tied at 72. The Saints had to use 50% shooting from the floor to finally pull away with the victory.
Freshman guard Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) led a balanced Seawolves scoring attack with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Senior guard Josh Mackie (South Portland, ME) contributed 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists; while freshmen Nate Dow (Old Orchard Beach, ME) and Anderson Santana (South Boston, MA) chipped in 10 and 9 respectively.
The Seawolves are now 8-12 overall and 2-9 in conference play. The men hit the floor again on Thursday, January 26 when they take on conference foe University of Maine-Augusta at 8:00 PM.
