Seawolves Fight NHTI Down To The Wire

The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Seawolves lost a close battle tonight to the visiting Lynx of NHTI 81-79. SMCC suffered a slow start and NHTI took advantage of second chance scoring opportunities to go into the locker room up 12 points at halftime. The men came out firing in the second half to work their way back into the game. The Seawolves had the ball with 11 seconds remaining and trailing 81-79. A few quick passes resulted in an open look at the basket, but the Seawolves couldn't connect.

Freshman forward Anderson Santana (South Boston, MA) led the Seawolves with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals. Freshman guard Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) contributed 12 points while point guard Joe Jardine (Greenville, ME) had 9 points, 5 assists and 4 steals.

The Seawolves move to 10-14 overall and 4-10 in conference play. The next will be on the road this Saturday as the men travel to Vermont Technical College for a 3:00 PM game.
