Seawolves Get Back On Track With Conference Win

Unity, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team got back on track tonight as they beat Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent Northern Maine Community College (NMCC) for the second time this season by a score of 101-48. The Seawolves jumped to an early lead with the half time score being 51-17 and never looked back.

A total team effort was put forth by the Seawolves as all 10 players scored at least 6 points with five players scoring double digits. Leading the pack was sophomore forward Jacob Loveridge(Chertsey, England) who shot 8-11 from the floor with 16 points and 4 rebounds. Sophomore guard Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) added 15 points and 4 rebounds while sophomore point guard Jose Nouchanthavong (Westbrook, ME) and freshman guard Davis Nicholson (Hitchin, Herts UK) each chipped in 12 points. 

SMCC improves to 17-7 overall and 11-2 in conference play. The Seawolves will be back in action tomorrow Wednesday January 30th as they travel to Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent Unity College. Game is scheduled for an 8:00PM start.
