Seawolves Drop Second Game In A Row

Concord, NH. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team lost their second match up of the season with Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) rival New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) by a score of 98-80. The Seawolves were down 55-44 at half time and were never able to recover. The Seawolves were able to shoot 41% from the floor but got out rebounded 55-34.

Even though the Seawolves had 3 players with double figures, it proved not to be enough. Sophomore guard Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) led the way with 21 points including 7-10 from the free throw line. Sophomore point guard Jose Nouchanthavong (Westbrook, ME) had 19 points on 8 of 14 shooting and was also able to contribute 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Freshman Guard Jon Amabile (Portland, ME) added 17 points along with 5 rebounds. 

SMCC drops to 18-9 overall and 11-4 in conference play. The Seawolves have a big conference game on Thursday February 7th as they host Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) rival Central Maine Community College (CMCC).
