Seawolves Overcome Holyoke, Improve to 3-0

South Portland -  The Seawolves offense came to life in the second half of tonight's basketball matchup against Holyoke Community College as they poured in 45 of their 78 points, overcoming Holyoke by a score of 78-57.

The Seawolves bench came up big in tonight's victory, contributing 46 points and 25 rebounds. Coming off the bench to lead the Seawolves were forward Tong Akot (Manchester, NH) who scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half and Josh Gormley (Waterville, ME) who scored all 11 of his points in the second half, including back to back three pointers.  Another noteworthy performance for the Seawolves was point guard Jose Nouchanthavong (Westbrook, ME) who scored 11 points, dished out eight assists, and grabbed six rebounds.

Holyoke had a very balanced scoring attack in tonight's contest putting 12 people in the socring column, with two in double figures, Abdul-Halim King who put up 11 points and Cornelius Tyson who chipped in 10.

With this win the Seawolves improve to 3-0 overall. They will return to action on Wednesday November 6th at home against Bridgton Academy.
