SMCC Bench Lifts Seawolves Past Black Sheep

South Portland - In tonight's YSCC conference basketball action the SMCC bench scored 73 of the Seawolves 100 total points to overcome Hampshire College by a score of 100-29.

Seawolves forward Micah Welch (Bar Harbor, ME) led all scorers with 15 points  on 6-8 shooting and also tied for leading rebounder with six rebounds. Other people making a big impact off the bench were guards Emmanuel Perry (Osterville, MA), who had 13 points, three steals and three assists and Jordan DeRosby (Waterville, ME) who contributed 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. 

The Seawolves forced the Black Sheep to turn the ball over 39 times in the contest, while outrebounding them by a margin of 17 and outnumbering the Black Sheep in assists by a count of 24-7. Overall a well rounded effort by the Seawolves on both sides of the ball.

With this win the Seawolves remain undefeated at 6-0 overall and improve to 1-0 in conference action. They will return to action on Saturday November 16th at 3pm at Vermont Technical College.
