Seawolves Overcome Lynx 104-92

South Portland - In tonight's YSCC men's basketball action the Seawolves avenged the 2012-13 season ending loss that NHTI handed them in last years semifinal conference playoff action. The Seawolves' defense forced the Lynx into 22 turnovers allowing SMCC to overcome NHTI by a score of 104-92.

The Seawolves had a stellar first half shooting performance, shooting 58% from the field and 73% from the charity stripe, giving them a 24 point lead going into halftime, 55-31. Leading the offense were shooting guards Davis Nicholson (Hitchin, Herts UK) who dropped in a team high 21 points and Jon Amabile (Portland, ME) who scored 20 points to go along with four assists and four steals. Point guard Jose Nouchanthavong (Westbrook, ME) contributed a double double in tonight's contest dishing out ten assists and chipping in 13 points. 

Leading all scorers was NHTI's Demetrius Rouse (Detroit, MI) who poured in 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds. The Lynx also received noteworthy performances from Sheveran Hardy (New Britain) and Jordon Richard (Raymond, NH) who dropped in 17 and 16 points respectively. 

With this win the Seawolves improve to 11-1 overall and 6-0 in YSCC conference play. The Seawolves will return to action on Wednesday December 11th at home against Central Maine Community College at 8pm.
