Seawolves Advance to Final Four with Win Over UMA

South Portland - Tonight the Seawolves used unselfish play, dishing out 23 assists on 35 made shot attempts, to overcome the Moose of the University of Maine - Augusta by a score of 89-71 and advance to the YSCC semifinals.

Seawolves' point guard and birthday boy Jose Nouchanthavong (Westbrook, ME) led the charge scoring 25 points on an impressive 9-16 shooting, including 5-9 from beyond the arc. He also came up with six steals and dished out four assists in the contest. Center Tong Akot (Manchester, NH) shot a stellar 8-11 from the field, netting 18 points and grabbed eight boards. Atencio Martin (Kittery, ME) dropped in nine for the Seawolves and Jacob Loveridge and DJ Johnson IV (Islesboro, ME) each chipped in eight. 

The Moose got big contributions from Keith Chesley and Tevon Erwin who scored 25 and 21 respectively and combined for 17 rebounds and 13-14 shooting from the charity stripe. Brandon Rogers chalked up a double double scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 boards. 

The Seawolves (21-8, 14-3) will participate in semifinal action tomorrow at 6pm against the winner of College of St. Joseph and New Hampshire Technical Institute.
