Seawolves Fall to Defending USCAA National Champions, Berkeley College

New York, NY - Yesterday the Seawolves faced off against the USCAA defending National Champions, Berkeley College (NY). The Knights shot an impressive 56% from the floor as they came away with a commanding 108-46 triumph. 

The Knights used a smothering press that allowed Berkeley to outscore the Seawolves 19-2 over the first five minutes and forced SMCC into 32 turnovers for the game. The Knights also used their defense to keep all Seawolves players out of double figures. Shooting guard Ville Wuorenjuuri (Helsinki, Finland) led all SMCC scorers with nine points, shooting 3-4 from beyond the arc.

The Knights used a balance scoring attack, having five players in double figures, to defeat the Seawolves. Keenan Langston scored a team high 18 points, Johnnie Green added 17 and Stephon Jennings netted 16.

The Seawolves (5-10, 3-3 YSCC) will be back on the court today at 4pm against Vaughn College. The game will be hosted at the College of New Rochelle.
