PORTSMOUTH, N.H.—The Southern Maine Community College men's basketball team swept its season series with Great Bay Community College in its 35-point victory on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

Sophomore Dylan Silvestri (Pelham, N.H.) led all scorers in the game with 20 points, adding eight rebounds to his resume. Silvestri improved on his 59.3 field-goal percentage, making nine of 14 from the floor. First-year Timothy Dixon (Plainville, Conn.) poured in 11, and both sophomore Ryan Cloutier (Pelham, N.H.) and captain John Morgan (Sanford, Maine) netted 10, Morgan with nine rebounds. First-year Jean Medard Zulu (Kinshasa, Congo DR) recorded four points, his first of his collegiate career!

Every player made their mark in the scorebook for the SeaWolves. SMCC executed on both ends of the court, assisting on 21 of 39 buckets and forcing 25 turnovers defensively.

The SMCC men remain 8-2 in conference play, two games back of Central Maine Community College in the North Division standings, and improve to 15-4 overall.

The action continues when the SeaWolves travel to the University of Maine at Machias to tangle with the 6-5 Clippers in a divisional Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) showdown on Saturday, Jan. 21. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. LIVE STATS available HERE.
