UNITY, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men’s basketball team took down the Rams from Unity College 75-45 in its first Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) contest of the new semester on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

In a post-game interview, Head Coach Matt Richards commented, “Tonight a team effort led to a team win and we continue to get the result on the road—where we remain undefeated. Our prowess on the defensive end remains on display, keeping the opponent to 51 or under in our previous three contests. Now we must keep the foot on the gas pedal against a talented squad from Massasoit on Saturday.”

SMCC wins its third consecutive to stand 14-4 on the season, 8-2 in conference play. The Rams slip to 1-10 overall and remain winless at the bottom of the YSCC standings.

Next, the SeaWolves entertain the Warriors from Massasoit Community College in its first and only non-conference meeting Saturday, Jan. 18. Tip-time is set for 3 p.m. at the HUB. WATCH or follow the GAME CAST.
