South Portland - This afternoon the Seawolves golf team played in their opening match at Sable Oaks golf course in South Portland against YSCC opponent University of Maine - Augusta (UMA). SMCC newcomers Ben Chaine (Bridgton, ME) and Grayson Waterman (Somersworth, NH) shot an impressive 80 and 81 respectively, earning Chaine top golfer honors while Waterman tied for second best on the afternoon. With those two top scores the Seawolves were able to overcome the Moose by a score of 359-372.

Chaine and Waterman were joined by teammate Nathan Beaulieu (Biddeford, ME) who shot a 95 and Sean Doran (Saco, ME) who ended the afternoon with a 113.

The Seawolves will have a rematch against UMA on the road on September 13th. Eastern Maine CC will also be a competitor in that match.
