Golf Team Takes First at Home

South Portland - This afternoon the golf team placed first in their second home match of the season, with three of the team's four golfers placing in the top five.  

In this afternoon's match the Seawolves matched up against UMaine-Augusta, who did not qualify for team scoring, and Great Bay Community College who shot a team score of 395. The Seawolves cumulative score was 368, led by Grayson Waterman (Berwick, ME) who placed third overall with an 84. Ville Wuorenjuuri (Helsinki, Finland) finished fourth overall, shooting a 92, and Nicholas Conley (Biddeford, ME) snagged the fifth place finish with a score of 95. Brian Gallagher (South Portland, ME) rounded out the Seawolves scoring with a 97. 

First place finish went to UMA's Lee MacDowell who shot a 74. 

Next up this golf season is the USCAA National Tournament which begins next Sunday, October 11th, in State College, PA. Waterman will be representing the Seawolves at the National Tournament.
