Golf Team Places Second at YSCC Championship

Portsmouth, NH - This weekend the SMCC golf team competed in the YSCC Championship hosted by Great Bay Community College. The Seawolves had a team score of 362, good enough for a second place finish behind winner Paul Smith's College who shot a 348.

Pacing the Seawolves was sophomore Grayson Waterman (Berwick, ME) who shot a 77 and grabbed the top spot among individual golfers. Ville Wuorenjuuri (Helsinkin, Finland) finished the day with a 90 while Brian Gallagher (South Portland, ME) and Nicholas Conley (Biddeford, ME) scored 97 and 98 respectively. 

Waterman wasn't the only Seawolves' representative to receive recognition at the awards banquet, Coach Dennis Leaver was honored as the YSCC Coach of the Year.
