SeaWolves Shoot First-Place Finish at UMA Invitational

MANCHESTER, Maine— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team carded its first first-place finish of the season at Augusta Country Club as part of the UMA Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The SeaWolves turned in a team score of 362, 100 strokes better than host University of Maine at Augusta (UMA). Also in attendance was non-conference member University of Maine at Presque Isle who combined for a team total of 463.

UMA’s number one Evan Kordalski came in 13 over par with an 83—the match low. SMCC sophomores Kevin Dwyer (Hanover, N.H.) and Seth Chim (Portland, Maine) tied for second among a field of 12 golfers—both shooting 87s. First-year Hunter Carignan (Rollinsford, N.H.) recorded a 90 and first-year Tyler Hensley (Tupper Plains, Ohio) continues to improve setting new lows—this time a 98.
