SeaWolves Score As Individuals At Beaver Meadow

CONCORD, N.H.— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf team made its second trip to Beaver Meadow Golf Course to compete in its third Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) round of the season on Saturday, Sept. 23.

New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) placed first in team scoring carding a 357 at its home track. Paul Smith's College finished a close second, two strokes behind with at 359. Both SMCC and Great Bay Community College were disqualified from team scoring with too few players in attendance.

Sophomore Kevin Dwyer (Hanover, N.H.) and first-year Hunter Carignan (Rollinsford, N.H.) both scored an 88; first-year Tyler Hensley (Tupper Plains, Ohio) finished with a career low 102. After three rounds, Carignan continues to lead the SeaWolves with a stroke average of 85.3.

Paul Smith's Jared McAllister medaled a first place finish turning in an 81. Taylor Post and Brennen McDougall of NHTI fired an 82 and 84 respectively to round out the top three.

The SeaWolves complete their regular season with two matches this weekend, at Augusta Country Club (Augusta Maine) on Saturday, Sept. 30 and at Purpoodock Golf Club (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) on Sunday, Oct. 1.
