SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) golf program will shoot a six-match schedule this fall at the helm of Chuck Ott in his first year as Head Coach. Finishing as Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) runners-up the previous three seasons, SMCC hopes for its redemption round in 2018.

The SeaWolves will tee off their season at a midweek mini-match with Bridgton Academy on Sept. 12^th before hitting the links at Beaver Meadow Golf Club in Concord, N.H. on Sept. 15^th. This is a course the SeaWolves have scored well in the past—carding a second place finish in 2017.

SMCC will host its annual match on Sept. 22^nd at Purpoodock Golf Club in Cape Elizabeth where the team placed first and third in the individual ranks a season ago. The following weekend will be played at Augusta Country Club, again where SMCC has found success shooting a first place team finish in both 2016 and 2017.

The SeaWolves will rematch with Bridgton Academy on Oct. 2^nd with hopes to improve their card from week one and make final adjustments before postseason play.

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) two-day championship event is set for Oct. 7-8 at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Penn. followed by the YSCC championship round at Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, N.H. on October 13^th.
