Two Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men’s soccer players were awarded Player of the Week honors for their contributions on the field.  The team ended the regular season atop the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) East Division with an undefeated conference record of 10-0-1 and 10-2-1 overall.

Freshman Corey Grigas (Hardwick, MA) was selected as the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Goalkeeper of the Week. Corey has allowed only 1 goal in the last 4 games and allowed zero goals with 5 saves in the Seawolves’ most recent victory over Unity College.  

Senior Nick Link (South Portland, ME) was selected as the YSCC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week.  Nick has held together the SMCC defense all season. The team has only given up 2 goals in the last 7 games. Along with his ability to defend, Nick has assisted on 2 goals with his long delivery.
