Seawolves Defeat Falcons

Presque Isle - Today the SMCC soccer teams took the long trek north to Presque Isle where the Seawolves battled with Northern Maine Community College. Seawolf midfielder Jacob Smith (Gorham, ME) was hot on the offensive side of the ball scoring one goal and assisting on the two other Seawolves goals, both scored by forward Nick Oram (Topsham, ME), leading his team to a 3-1 triumph over the Falcons.

The Seawolves scored all three of their goals in the first 23 minutes of regulations. Oram fired first scoring at the ten minute mark with Smith following close behind with goal number two, assisted by Kyle Stiefken (Vassalboro, ME) at the 16th minute. Just seven short minutes later Oram knocked in his second goal of the contest once again assisted by Smith. NMCC's Matt Till put the Falcons on the board before going into halftime with a score off a freekick at the 41 minute mark.

With this win the Seawolves improve to 6-4-1 overall and 5-2-1 in conference play. The Seawolves will return to action tomorrow, October 6th at Eastern Maine Community College at 12pm.
