Seawolves Squeak by Eagles

Bangor - This afternoon the Seawolves took on the Golden Eagles of Eastern Maine Community College in their second game in two days. The Seawolves picked up the victory, inching by the Golden Eagles with a score of 1-0.

The Seawolves' offensive powerhouse as of late, Nicholas Oram (Topsham, ME), scored the contests' lone goal with an unassisted score at the 63 minute mark. EMCC's goalkeeper, Brandon Taylor (Rockland, ME) allowed only that one ball in the net, making eight saves on the day and keeping the Seawolves scoreless for the rest of the contest. Seawolf goalies Dan Couverette (Augusta, ME) and Josh McDuffie (South Portland, ME) combined efforts to get the shutout for the Seawolves.

With this win the Seawolves improve to 7-4-1 overall and 6-2-1 in YSCC conference play while the Golden Eagles drop to 1-8-1 overall and 1-8-1 in conference play. The Seawolves will return to action Wednesday, October 9th at Central Maine Community College at 4:30pm.
