Seawolves Edge Mustangs

Auburn - With less than a minute left in the first half of tonights conference soccer match between the Seawolves of SMCC and Mustangs of CMCC, Seawolf forward Nicholas Oram (Topsham, ME) threw a perfectly placed ball for midfielder Xavier Trask (Richmond, ME) who headed in the lone goal of the contest, leading the Seawolves to a 1-0 triumph.

SMCC goalkeeper Dan Couverette II (Augusta, ME) and the Seawolf defenders Michael Curtis (Ellsworth, ME), Zach Napsey (Claremont, NH), Jacob Smith (Gorham, ME) and Connor Beebe (Waterford, ME) were able to shutdown Mustang offensive powerhouse Dylan Mawhinney (Dixfield, ME) and hold CMCC scoreless.

With this win the Seawolves improve to 8-4-1 overall and 7-2-1 in conference play while the Mustangs drop to 7-2-1 overall and in conference play. The Seawolves will return to action on Saturday October 12th at home against Unity College at 2pm.
