Wolverines Hand Seawolves Second Loss

South Portland - Despite a fantastic defensive effort by Seawolves goalkeeper Spencer Hoyt (Rochester, NH), who racked up 27 saves on 30 shots, the SMCC soccer team fell to the Wolverines of Bridgton Acacdemy, 3-0. This is the first win for the Wolverines in the 2014 season, as the Seawolves drop to 0-2-0.

Bridgton racked up 47 shots on the afternoon with Javon Brown getting 12 shots and one of the team's three goals and Joao Oliviera getting 10 shots with a goal and an assist. Colin Morse chipped in with a goal and Jose Fonseca chalked up an assist. Leading the Seawolves offensive attack was Quentin Ndayishimiye (Burundi, Africa) with three shots on goal.

With this loss the Seawolves slip to 0-2-0. They will be back in action on Friday September 5th at home against Vermont Technical College at 4pm and again at home on September 7th against Hampshire College.
