SMCC, Bowdoin JV End in Draw

South Portland -  The Seawolves and Polar Bears of Bowdoin College found themselves in a defensive battle in this afternoon's soccer match, ending the contest deadlocked at 0-0 after ninety minutes of play.

The Seawolves had two close calls when Bowdoin got the ball past SMCC goalie Spencer Hoyt (Rochester, NH) but defender Robert Rose (Gardiner, ME) saved both balls off the line holding the Polar Bears scoreless. SMCC forwards Wadah Al-Shammari (Portland, ME) and Kenneth Williams (Gardiner, ME) each got off two quality shots on net but could not manage to the ball past the Polar Bear goalkeeper.

This tie brings the Seawolves record to 1-3-1 overall and 1-1-0 in YSCC action. The Seawolves will be back on the field on Saturday September 13th at home against YSCC rival University of Maine - Machias at 4pm.
