Seawolves, Mustangs Deadlocked After Double OT

Seawolves, Mustangs Deadlocked After Double OT

Auburn - Earlier this week the Seawolves handed the Mustangs of CMCC a 2-1 loss after a hard fought game by both teams. This afternoon the two well matched teams battled for 110 minutes but neither team could come up with a win as they ended in a 1-1 tie.

The Seawolves struck first when midfielder Sean Jackson (Berwick, ME) stole the ball from an opponent and dribbled through the CMCC defense, blasting the ball past the Mustangs goalkeeper into the lower right corner of the net.

The teams played back and forth throughout the remainder of the first half and midway through the second until the Mustangs scored on corner kick to tie the game at 1-1. In the two overime periods SMCC controlled the majority of the action but were unable to put the ball in the net.

The 3-4-3 Seawolves will wrap up their regular season action on Saturday October 11th at home against Unity College at 3pm.
