Scouting the Opposition

The Fighting Saints enter the YSCC Final Four as the top-seeded team in the South Division. St. Joseph finished 8-2 in YSCC play, and is riding a five-game winning streak with one non-conference regular season game remaining before Saturday's match. The SeaWolves coaching staff will prepare for St. Joseph's Dominick Simpson who ranks both second in the conference in goals scored (14) and points (31); Keven Andrade ranks tied for second in the YSCC in assists (8). SMCC's offense will look to test the opposing goal keeper, Kyle Milligan, who ranks first in the conference in goals-against average (1.10), allowing just 14 goals all season.

Leading the Way

The SeaWolves will look to co-captain Douglas Cloutier (Berwick, Maine) and Harrison Charwat (McLean, Va.) for their offensive chemistry vs. St. Joseph on Saturday. Cloutier leads the team in points (10) and has tallied eight assists on the season; Charwat is the team's leading goal scorer with four from the striker position. Sophomores Jacob Cavacas (Cavendish, Vt.) and Jacob Coffey (Lebanon, Maine) will play a crucial role in the defensive third of the field. Sophomore goal keeper Patrick Duddy (Sedgwick, Maine) has kept the SeaWolves in games all season and is leading the YSCC in save percentage at .849.

If winners of the semi-final game on Saturday, SMCC will play the winner of the University of Maine- Machias and New Hampshire Technical Institute on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 11:00 a.m.
