RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer program drew with the Rams from Vermont Technical College (VTC) in its first Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) match 1-1 on Sunday, September 9.

It was scoreless through 69 minutes of action until sophomore Hanssen Casey (Eliot, Maine) skipped a throw-in with his head far post past VTC's keeper Jonathan Alvin. Five minutes later, the Rams would get even on a laser taken by Scott Durkee that found its way through traffic—one of seven shots on goal by the home team.

Neither team would capitalize in either period of extra time.

SeaWolves' keeper Camden Labrecque (Saco, Maine) totaled six saves in 110 minutes of work.

SMCC stands 1-1-1 overall, 0-0-1 in league action. The Rams place 0-3-1 overall, 0-1-1 YSCC.

Next is in-state YSCC rival Central Maine Community College (2-0) on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. LIVE STATS: https://www.gosmccseawolves.com/sports/msoc/2018-19/boxscores/20180912_9wtm.xml
