SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's soccer team was blanked 2-0 by the Knights from the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) in a non-conference match on Saturday, Sept. 29.

The Knights struck first at 19:19 courtesy of Takhy Aidara and waited until the 73rd minute to double their lead on a near post shot delivered by Mouhamadou Diouf. CCRI totaled 27 shots, 10 of which found their way on target—the SeaWolves managed just four.

It was nothing going for the SeaWolves offensively, scoring in each of their previous seven contests. First-year goalkeeper Camden Labrecque (Saco, Maine) recorded seven saves in 90 minutes of action—working on a .821 save percentage.

SMCC dips to 4-3-2 overall; CCRI climbs to .500 at 2-2 overall.

The men return to the pitch on Saturday, Oct. 6 when they host non-conference Massasoit Community College at 3 p.m. LIVE STATS.
