Lady SeaWolves Fall at Navy Prep In 2017 Finale

NEWPORT, R.I.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's basketball team was defeated 81-43 by the Midshipmen of the Naval Academy Preparatory School in a non-conference game on Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Naval Station in Newport, R.I.

The Lady SeaWolves, who suffered a loss to Navy Prep at home in November, were held to their lowest point total of the season against the undefeated Midshipmen in their second meeting.

SMCC breaks for the semester on a two-game spell at 9-5 overall and 6-2 in Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) play. Navy Prep improves to 12-0 on the season.

The SeaWolves will pick it back up on Saturday, Jan. 6 when they host the Community College of Rhode Island in another non-conference game. Tip-off from the Hutchinson Union Building is scheduled for 1 p.m.
