UNITY, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women’s basketball team earned a 98-42 result over the Rams from Unity College in a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) contest Wednesday, Jan. 15.

In a post-game interview, Head Coach Katie Stannard commented, “Everyone contributed tonight in yet another team victory on the road—where we are 8-2 on the year. We have a challenging five-game stretch ahead of us, three of which are away from the HUB. I look forward to take advantage of the opportunity and solidify our position within the conference and national poll.”

SMCC leads the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) in wins moving to 16-2 overall, 8-2 in league action. The Rams suffer their third consecutive defeat and stand 3-8 overall, 2-7 YSCC.

The action continues when the Lady Wolves play host to the Warriors from Massasoit Community College (NJCAA) in a non-conference matinee on Saturday, Jan. 18. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the HUB. WATCH or follow the GAME CAST.
